Positioned along the tranquil canal edge of Point Waterfront, Durban, this commercial office building is a sculptural addition to the city’s revitalizing maritime precinct. The building’s distinctive curved glass façade forms a dramatic prow-like gesture, referencing nautical forms while maximizing panoramic views of the water and urban skyline. Articulated with a fine steel frame and expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing, the design emphasizes transparency and connectivity, inviting light deep into the workspaces and establishing a continuous dialogue with the public realm.
The robust rear elevation—composed of a regularized grid of inset windows framed in textured concrete—anchors the building with rhythmic precision and passive shading benefits. Ground-floor retail and parking integration enhance urban activation and convenience, while upper-level office floors provide adaptable, light-filled work environments. Framed by palm-lined promenades and active public spaces, the building becomes a civic marker that merges coastal leisure, business utility, and architectural sophistication in one cohesive urban gesture.
