Project Summary
The Benin City Nigeria Temple conveys a balance of monumentality and intimacy through its refined architectural language. Plans call for a two-story temple of approximately 2,852 square meters (30,700 square feet) with an arrival center and patron housing on site. The exterior, clad in pale stone, employs symmetrical massing and a vertical spire that rises as both a spiritual beacon and a civic landmark. Its arched entry, framed by clean classical detailing, evokes dignity while harmonizing with the temple’s lush landscaped gardens, lined with palms and vibrant plantings that root the design in its tropical context.
. Inside, the material palette shifts toward warmth and light—timber joinery, patterned stained glass, and crystal chandeliers enrich spaces of ritual and reflection. Soft tones of cream, gold, and blue are accented by locally inspired geometric motifs. The result is a timeless sanctuary where cultural resonance, reverence, and light converge, embodying permanence and peace within the heart of Benin City.
